At SkinAssist, educating our patients is a part of each treatment, big or small, that you may receive.

SkinAssist is owned and operated by Nancy Betzen R.N., L.E. Nancy has been an R.N. for over 30 years and brings a myriad of medical knowledge to this practice.

Asela Russell, M.D. Medical Director

Dr. Russell has owned and operated aesthetic clinics since 2001 & is a certified trainer for LASER, IPL, Botox, Fillers and numerous other medical and aesthetic procedures. She is currently medical director of Skin Assist Medical Skin Care Spa Colorado, is a board certified OB/GYN & the founder of the Center for Women’s Health.

Dr. Russell attended Yale University and Duke Medical School and completed her residency at the University of California-San Francisco. After completing her residency, she was a US Public Health Service provider working for the Navajo Nation in Arizona.

Her interests include travel, creative writing and reading mystery novels. She speaks Spanish and French. Dr Russell is married and has two children.
